hi, hello
i’m glad you’re here
i am a plurilingual-pluricultural, racially-mixed, and neurodivergent settler-canadian residing and dreaming on stolen Qayqayt lands (new westminster). i use diverse mediums of written and visual arts to create stories that reveal landscapes of memories, the corporeal and omnipresent embodiments of identities, and the heart-work of love and relationships. currently, i am a language teacher and an anti-racism/racial equity lead in surrey, british columbia and a master of arts student in french curriculum and instruction for growing pluricultural-plurilingual teaching practices through anti-oppressive language learning-teaching approaches at simon fraser university.
since 2019, i have been cultivating the shapes of my artistry as a professional florist within retail spaces, learning the rhythms of seasons and peoples. now, drawn by the quiet hums of creative freedom, i am stepping into freelance floral design, revealing the beautiful life of flowers through independent and collaborative work by gathering blooms and stories wherever they may take root. my floral designs are love letters to gardens— romantic, poetic, and carefully curated.
yours,
anisa maya dhanji
